February & March 2017

Greek violinist Yannos Margaziotis (2.concertmaster with the Orchestra of the National Opera of Greece) and artistic director of the International Classical Music Festival of Cyclades, in Syros, Greece, and Greek counter tenor Nikos Spanatis will participate at the Palace Music Concert series, in Kadrioru Arts Museum, Tallinn. Yannos Margaziotis willl perform a violin recital on 26 March 2017 and Nikos Spanatis a baroque programme with Floridante Ensemble on 19 February 2017

A strong friendship and collaboration has been established between Estonian cellist Aare Tammesalu and Greek pianist Alexandra Nomidou

The two artists will perform in Athens on 21 October 2016 and in Tallinn on 30 October 2016 to present works by Schubert, Lalo, Massenet, Arensky, Hahn, Rachamaninof and Papaioannou.

Paris-based Greek pianist Alexandra Nomidou also performed on 8 November 2015 for the Palace Music Concert series, in Kadrioru Arts Museum, Tallinn. 

With Arvo Leibur – violin & Aare Tammesalu – cello, they will present the following programme:

Ernest Chausson. Piano trio Op 3 in G minor (1881)

Manos Chatzidakis. Ionian Suite for piano solo Op 7 (1952–53)

Felix Mendelssohn. Piano Trio No 1 in D minor Op 49

Greek Conductor Nikos Haliassas has been invited by the Golden Classics Festival to conduct the Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta. Nikos Haliassas is the founder and music director of the Intrarti Orchestra and artistic director of the "Sinfonia" International Festival of Piraeus and the Saronic islands.

French saxophonist Clément Himbert has been invited by Glasperlenspiel Festival, in July 2015, to perform the Glazunov concerto for saxophone and strings with the Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta, under the baton of Andres Mustonen.

Clément Himbert was awarded in 2005 the first grand prize of the International Music Competition "Pacem in Terris" in Bayreuth (Germany). He currently holds the position of saxophone professor at the Conservatory of Saint-Étienne (France) and he is in preparation of the "Doctorate of Interpreter" in collaboration with the Paris National Conservatory and Paris Sorbonne University (Paris IV).
